What you can expect

Your guide meets you at gate no 3 of “Barakhamba Metro Station”. After a quick briefing about the adventure to be unfolded, we start walking down to an ancient haunted 800 year old stepwell. Guide narrates amazing stories about its origin, haunted stories and take amazing photographs of yours as a prized memory.

Now walk for 5 minutes to reach a metro station and enjoy a short Air-conditioned metro train ride to reach the “Old Delhi”, a 400 hundred years old city still standing tall and proud.
Once arrive Old Delhi, walk begins among the historic “Meena Bazaar”, once an opulent market for precious gems during erstwhile imperial “Mughal” era, but now a makeshift market serving the most common strata of the society, vendors are selling very budget economic materials for the common masses.
Soon we see imposing stone steps leading up to the “Jama Mosque”, it is considered to be the biggest mosque of India and built by the same emperor who built the “Taj Mahal”, we know him by the name “Shah Jahan”
NOTE: Visit to the mosque will be optional only and not compulsory, Entrance Fee of the “Jama mosque” is INR 350 Per Person, Still those who don't want to enter the mosque, they can have a photo-stop from outside

Time to delve into the Labyrinth hunting , enter into the maize of Old Delhi, while walking, discover heritage houses known as Haveli's due to their traditional and heritage designs. Multiple meandering bylanes leads to many bustling and dazzling markets doing business since the imperial Mughal age. These enigmatic quarters, bathed in twilight’s allure, promise an exploration of secrets whispered through time.

Soon we reach “SPICE MARKET” and begin our spice trails. We shall bump our way to a massive warehouse building where all the big spice merchants come, see and crack deals with the spices wholesaler merchants. Big bags of spices are cut half open for display, it results in the spices and aroma fill-up the air around. We soon enter one of the famous and old Spice depot / storehouse for a briefing about many famed Indian spices. You will be surprised to know that, in your home country how heavily you are paying for some of daily usage spices in your kitchen.

We then finally head back towards the nearest Metro train station / Uber point

Excellent tour!! Jai was brilliant and very knowledgeable. Jai generously shared his stories, and knowledge of the history of Delhi while showing us around the spice market and other areas. We were able to be spontaneous by popping into a a Hindu temple too, while Jai shared his religion and explained the different aspects we saw. Definitely worth booking this tour - you will learn heaps and have a laugh along the way too!

Jai took very good care of us & it was much more than the Spice Trails. His knowledge of the history of Delhi, of India & the areas we visited was excellent. We all had a great experience of seeing the life of the locals in the area & how the spice market developed over time. We were also shown other areas of interest & it was a brilliant all round tour of nearly 4 hours. Excellent value for money & highly recommended.

This was by far my favorite part of my trip to Dehli. The guide was very kind and knowledgeable, and we had fun walking through the streets and markets of old Dehli. I also got to try some really delicious street snacks.

I got a wonderful private tour with Jai, who showed me a haunted upside down palace with a cursed well, guided me through the nooks and the labyrinth of old delhi, down the rabbit hole, where i was treated like a princess, got chai and spent way too much money! Jai made sure I was safe and it was nice talking to him, highly recommend!
