Krupowki Street

Krupówki - are a representative street in Zakopane located in the city centre. They start at the crossroads with Nowotarska and go south along the more than kilometre long promenade. They are an extension of Zamoyskiego Street. Along them there are many shops, restaurants, post office and more recognisable: - Tatra Museum Dr. Tytus Chałubiński in Zakopane - Tatra Railway Station - Litwor, Gromada-Gazda and Sabała hotels - The seat of the management board of the company Polskie Koleje Linowe, Sp. z o.o. -The neo-Romanesque parish church Of the Holy Family in Krupówki Here we stop for a meal in a local restaurant.

Willa Koliba - Zakopane Style Museum

After lunch we will visit Villa "Koliba" - a villa in Zakopane, erected in the years 1892–1893 in the Zakopane style, designed by Stanisław Witkiewicz; the first house built in the Zakopane style; entered into the register of monuments in 1983. The name "Jaszczurówka" comes from the spotted salamanders that used to live here, called by the highlanders "lizards".The structure of the main altar resembles a highlander's hut. On both sides of the altar, there are two colourful stained glass windows with the coats of arms of Poland and Lithuania, designed by Stanisław Witkiewicz. The chapel in Jaszczurówka is one of the most beautiful monuments of Zakopane art and style in Poland.
