Tirau is a small, charming town located in the Waikato region of New Zealand, known for its quirky corrugated iron sculptures and creative architecture. The Lady Knox Geyser, located in the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland near Rotorua, New Zealand, is a natural hot spring geyser that erupts daily at 10:15 AM. Triggered by a surfactant introduced by park staff, its eruptions can reach heights of up to 10-20 metres, lasting for about an hour. The geyser was discovered in the early 20th century and named after Lady Constance Knox, the daughter of a former New Zealand governor.

Te Puia in Rotorua is a cultural and geothermal landmark, home to the New Zealand Māori Arts and Crafts Institute, where traditional carving and weaving techniques are preserved and taught. This unique destination features the famed Pōhutu Geyser, the Southern Hemisphere’s largest active geyser, erupting up to 30 metres. The geothermal valley includes bubbling mud pools, steaming vents, and silica formations. Visitors can explore the Kiwi Conservation Centre, dedicated to protecting New Zealand's iconic bird, and experience authentic Māori cultural performances, storytelling, and art demonstrations. The Redwood Forest, or Whakarewarewa Forest, located near Rotorua, is a serene and beautiful forest known for its towering Californian Coast Redwoods, some of which were planted in 1901. This forest offers a network of walking and biking trails that wind through the majestic redwoods, providing stunning views of the lush native plants and geothermal landscapes. The forest is a popular spot for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, offering a peaceful escape with its fresh air, impressive trees, and vibrant greenery.

On the way back to Auckland, We will have a brief stopover at Moana Roa Reserve is a picturesque spot on the shores of Lake Karapiro in New Zealand's Waikato region. Known for its beautiful lake views and peaceful environment, this reserve is a popular location for relaxing by the water, picnicking, and enjoying the natural scenery. Located near the town of Cambridge, Lake Karapiro is famous for water sports, especially rowing and kayaking, and it regularly hosts national and international competitions. The reserve provides a quieter experience, allowing visitors to enjoy the lake’s beauty without the crowds, making it ideal for a day out or a short stop on the way back to Auckland.
