What you can expect

National Park Tierra del Fuego represents the southernmost conservation area of Argentina. It's the only one to have maritime coasts and mountains. To reach it we must take national route No. 3, S.W. of Ushuaia. Along the way some of the main attractions are Pipo River, Monte Susana, Roca Lake, Alacush Visitors Centre, Laguna Verde and Lapataia Bay where the Pan-American route system ends. We will make picture stops and take a 30’ walk depending on the weather conditions.

The topography of the Park is extremely varied being it a succession of steep mountains, rivers, valleys, lakes until we reach the coast of the Beagle Channel.

Throughout the year you can admire the sub-Antarctic forest. The most frequent mammal is the red Fuegian fox. The variety of marine and mountainous environments allows a wide range of birds to inhabit this region, from the cachaña, the giant woodpecker, the rayadito and the patagonian thrush, to the Kelp goose, symbol of this National Park.
