We will pick you up from your accommodation in Trujillo, to start the tour to the city. The city of Trujillo was founded in 1534 by Diego de Almagro. We will begin this tour through the capital of the La Libertad district, to learn a little more about its own history that dates back to pre-Columbian times. The Trujillo City Tour begins with a visit to the main square of the city, where we will have an explanation of the Freedom Monument and some of the surrounding buildings, such as the Trujillo Cathedral.
In addition, we will pass by the Casa Urquiaga, transformed into a museum that has different pieces from the pre-Columbian, colonial and independence eras of Spain.
During the last part of the tour, we will pass by the Itaurregui Palace and Plaza El Recreo, where the first fountain in Trujillo is located, made of Italian baroque carved marble and originally located in the main square. After that, we will end the tour and we will be free to continue walking around the city or simply return to hotels.
The Trujillo City Tour lasts approximately 3 hours. It offers a visit to the Plaza de Armas, Cathedral, Casa Urquiága, Casa Emancipación, Central Market and Museum of History and Archaeology.
