The Uros Islands are a unique set of artificial islands built by the indigenous Uro community. Made primarily of totora, an aquatic plant, these floating islands offer a fascinating glimpse into the ingenious way of life of this ancient lake culture.
Itinerary
Day 1: Puno-Uros-Amantani
We will start with the pick up from your hotel between 6:30 am and 7:00 am approx, to go to the port, where we will take a boat, which will take us to the island of Uros.
Here we will spend pleasant moments and we will have some time to buy souvenirs.
We will get on board again to go to the Amantani Islands, where a delicious lunch will be waiting for us.
We will spend the rest of the day and night in these islands learning about the activities of these islands.
Day 2: Amantani-Taquile-Puno
We will start our day with a delicious breakfast in Amantani, and then embark to the island of Taquile where we will have a walk of about 40 minutes to reach the community, and we can observe its craft fair and different attractions.
Finally we will have our lunch and return to the port of Puno, where we will finish our tour around 5:30 in the afternoon.
