Overview

The Do Eat Better Experience food tour is a walking tour around the historical centre of Venice. The tourist is guided by a “Foodie”, a local “buddy” able to explain every detail of the selected eateries, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities.

Do Eat Better Experience tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing Italian culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. This is the reason why we accept small groups only: we want to focus on a genuine exchange and give to each tourist the highest attention possible.

Please, note that the tour is always run in English and Italian; other languages upon request.

Wonderful mix of food, drinks and company. I always enjoy these tours as a chance to walk, talk with other travelers, and snack. Plenty of food to make a dinner. Our guide was warm and funny and set the tone for a great evening.

Julie was great, and she took us several interesting places where tourists might not go. The problem was that rather than making a variety of selections herself for us to try, she showed us what we could choose from. Since we didn't know what they were, we weren't qualified to choose and might not have gotten a good variety. One time, she had too much of one dish so that we couldn't try several instead.

This food tour was excellent!! Our tour guide Beatrice really made this experience truly wonderful. She made meeting up so simple by sending us a text via whatsapp showing exactly where we should meet her making the stress of where to meet super simple. Our tour was super fun and well informed with all the delicious foods we ate. Beatrice was lovely about explaining things more than once if needed and making suggestions when there were lots of options. She also made a point of taking picture of us all together enjoying our evening not to post but to send to our little group later, a really lovely personal touch on the evening and a way for us to remember our full experience. I would 100% take this tour again if I am even in Venice and recommend Beatrice to anyone taking this tour.

Fantastic food tour — it really felt like we were eating like a local. All the stops were great with many choices and Emma, our guide, made a point of making sure we understood and enjoyed our picks. Speaking of Emma: she is one of the best food tour guides we have ever had. Could not have been happier with our choice.

My family of four went on the food tour through Venice with Beatrice and it was WONDERFUL. She spoke great english, conversed with everyone, and took us to amazing restaurants that we wouldn't have discovered on our own. We were so glad we did it! The group was small and was able to navigate through the city easily without an issues. Beatrice was very knowledgeable of Venice and its culture and food history. At the end, she provided restaurant recommendations and gave us all the information on each stop we made.
