This beautiful city in the Veneto region of northern Italy is referred to as the city of Palladio, because of its historical buildings designed by the 16th-century architect Andrea Palladio, and is therefore listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city has a long history that combines its old-world charm with ultra-modern cosmopolitan vibes. It was renovated after being vastly destroyed during WWII. Due to its rich history and association with various ruling empires, Vicenza has a lot of beautiful historical structures to offer.
