Discover Wismar's spectacular filming locations that were used to create the world of the silent film “Nosferatu - The Vampire” on this self-guided tour.
The tour begins on Wismar's huge market square, one of the largest in Germany, surrounded by beautiful brick Gothic town houses.
The tour takes you further to St Mary's Church, one of the oldest buildings in the Hanseatic city, and on to St George's Church.
You will pass the Heiligen Geist Hof, the Watergate before the tour ends at the Old Harbour.
The route is only about 2 kilometres long and can be completed in about 90 minutes. You don't need to have seen the film or read the original Dracula book by Bram Stoker. You can find out everything you need to know at the gruesome stops along the way, at the impressive locations of the film.
At the tour stops, there are entertaining tasks to solve and fun questions to answer. Who knows, for example, what … but no, we won't tell you yet!
The tour is a great way to get outside and discover new things with family, friends or on your own.
It's like being shown Wismar by a good friend who is a film fan. Many anecdotes will enrich your walk through the city.
You can start the tour at any time and as often as you like in the browser of a smartphone. On site or even from the comfort of your sofa.
Enjoy your time in Wismar!
