"Fond Doux felt like a safe haven on an otherwise rough island. Our cottage was cute and clean, the grounds were very pretty and we enjoyed exploring the property. The chocolate making tour is not to be missed. Much of the staff, however is not particularly friendly or efficient. Service at the restaurants eas very slow and unreliable (none seemed to open at the times they said they would) and even though you may be the only ones dining or drinking at the moment, don't expect speedy service. "This property offers various activities so there is no need to leave every day. Also, it is right ON the beach. The lunch time dining experience needs some attention though. On two occasions the wait time for a meal took an hour. "
