A friend and I booked a 2 single bed room. The pictures showed a small but suitable room. The research I did showed a statement there was A/C. The street outside the Hotel was busy 24 hours/day. The hotel was clean and well maintained and the staff was cheerful, friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was TINY! It was 8ftx15ft, and that included the bath, which was less than 8ftx3ft. What looked like a desk in the photos was 7 inches deep. The bath was so small that a 6'2" man could not wash his face with the door closed, It was like an airplane toilet with a 30inchx30inch shower. It was not possible for 2 people to stand side by side in the majority of the room. There was no A/C. The room was warm, too warm to sleep unless the window was open all night, with the traffic noise a constant disturbance. The room was not suitably sized for 2 adults. The lack of A/C made sleep difficult. Again, the staff was great and the hotel was clean, but it was as advertised.

There was some problem with the Expedia site but the hotel sorted it out for me and I was happy with that. I booked for 1 night on 26th May but when the confirmation came through it said I was booked on 27th as I say hotel were kind enough to sort this out for me unlike Expedia who blamed me and not there site.

Sure, this isn’t a five star property, but the location and value proposition is very strong. Small, but well kept room with a single bed. Clean and functional washroom. This property has a lift/elevator, but no central HVAC, seems like there are radiators for heat. Included breakfast was a very practical start to a busy tourist day in London. Of course, with the short walk to both Paddington & Edgeware Tube Stations, you can get anywhere in London very quickly. Take the buses and the upper deck gets a commanding view via Hyde Park to the hotel. If I am in London again, I would consider staying here again.

Very, very basic. Breakfast was just a bit of toast, a boiled egg and tea or coffee, with cereal available too. For the money paid, I would expect a cooked breakfast and/or a decent tv to watch. Staff were nice enough. The shower was pretty poor. Ok for an overnight stop, but not anything more.

Good location to Paddington Station. Breakfast very basic. Desk staff not too interested in us as guests, although did answer questions when needed. Typical for hotels on Sussex Gardens Rd.

The staff was friendly and the accommodations were very clean. We received clean towels regularly. Lovely neighbourhood: I'd stay in that area again. The breakfast at Orchard Hotel was terrible and the room was small, but it served our purposes.

With the full understanding that hotels in London are ridiculously expensive nowadays, we booked this hotel on price, but more so because of the area. We were familiar with the area, and it`s convenience to services such as subway and trains. When we arrived, we were early so they allowed us to leave our bags - unattented- and come back at check in time. This was greatly appreciated. Upon check-in, we discovered that our rooms (2) were in the basement. The room was dark as the window opened onto an air shaft. The room for 3 people had 5 hangers in the wardrobe, no safe, no shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom. The beds were at best flimsy and the pillows, flat as pancakes. It was stuffy as we could not leave the window open when out, remember no safe, and we had passports and other documents we did not want to leave in an unsecure place. If I was to stay here again, I would insist the our rooms be on an upper floor. Without that guarantee, I would look elsewhere.
