The staff were friendly and efficient, choice of food in the Restaurant was good and I used the gym and swimming pool which were also very good! The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Portobello beach and either a long walk or bus you are into the centre where all the attractions are. "

"Beautiful old building. Great area. Rooms were quite nice and clean. Just no staff were ever present in our three night stay. An elderly couple who couldn’t speak English sat in the front lobby, often. I’m not sure if they worked there cleaning rooms or were a guest but if the worked there they made no attempt to communicate or help out, which was an issue because the front door to the building on a busy street was always left open"
