"I had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Communication with the host was excellent—he went above and beyond by arranging for his dad to check me in at 1 PM, an hour earlier than the standard check-in time. The cabin itself was cozy and well-maintained, and the view was absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!"
"The property needs proper cleaning and during the night, you’re all alone in the middle of nowhere. No A/C and the windows doesn’t have any screens. Mosquitos enter your room freely. "
"This property has a lot of pros. - close to park entrance, very clean, friendly manager, good breakfast, good AC and very cheap. The cons are that the room doors face the highway and the rooms are small. Good base for a night or two."
"Excellent location with many activities nearby, the house was well stocked, lots of space for our family, comfortable. There were some things that you would expect in a rain forest such as humidity. We loved our stay! The hosts are very friendly, helpful and we loved the walks on site and farm tour."
"The management could not have been more helpful both in terms of arranging tours and assisting with a problem with our car. The wildlife that we saw each day at breakfast was stunning but breakfast itself was somewhat disappointing. We understand their bid to be very eco but only emptying bins in the rooms every 48 hours did not seem very hygienic. "
"The family that owned the place was very helpful and friendly. Food was good and the evening tour of home garden was very enjoyable. We will be going back. "
"We absolutely loved the place. Family run and super friendly. Beautiful property with lots of wildlife.
Our first time in country and will definitely stay here again!!"
"Villa el Tucan is a gem with impeccable service! Bijagua is a cute little village close to Rio Celeste with this new adorable lodge. The owners thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and memorable. The cabins are cozy, clean, airy, and they even have screens on their windows and sliding glass door. Great lil porch to relax and enjoy the view.
They even added a short walking trail to a refreshing river!
They have thought of everything! "
"Una experiencia mágica que nos permitió disfrutar de la flora y fauna de Costa Rica, particularmente del Perezoso. Un hotel limpio y una atención amable."

"What an amazing stay! The farm is thriving with wildlife and the plants. There’s so much hiking nearby. Our room was comfortable and cooled off at night. We loved the place so much that we want to come again. Very well maintained and the owners feel like family "

"The trails are real singletrack mountain biking trails. We went out for 3 hours and barely covered a quarter of the terrain. The waterfalls on the grounds are amazing. The variety of birds was amazing! It's best to have a car here because the best waterfall and the hot springs are a drive away. And the breakfast buffet was phenomenal: omelets made to order, pastries, fresh orange juice, fesh fruit, yogurt, granola, and hot food like fried plantains, stewed chicken, roasted yams etc. And everything is gluten-free - celiac heaven :-)"

"One of the most extraordinary hotels and properties I have ever visited. All activities for the 20 some cabins are available immediately, and every care and consideration is taken care of by the most amazing, kind, and attentive staff."

"We had a fabulous two days at Finca La Anita. Pablo and Ana were fabulous hosts and we truly enjoyed learning from their knowledge of all things Costa Rican, especially the history and quality of chocolate and coffee. We stayed in cabin 8 which was comfortably rustic with a refrigerator. We found the temperature in mid Feb to be approx 10 degrees C cooler than the coast. Travel by SUV is best as the road is quite rough at times. The home cooked meals were authentic, yummy and filling. We loved both the peacefullness, the nature and the birds at Finca La Anita.
Many thanks Pablo and Ana, we are already looking forward to our next visit."
