"I travelled all the way from Delhi to be with a friend, who was celebrating her 40th birthday. I booked accommodation at the same hotel and booked a ‘Deluxe Suite’ on the topmost floor. AI reached the property at about 9 PM on a Friday evening. After checking in, 'Anna' the lady at the Front Office, helped me lug my rather heavy suitcase the last two floors and unlocked the door for me. The suite was lavish as lavish can be and from another era. The washroom reminded me of ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’. The terrace was mindbogglingly huge with two sets of loungers and tea tables for two at both end for a cosy conversation and was just the place to soak in the sun and the surf, with endless views of the ocean stretching across the horizon. The video that I am posting along with, hardly does justice to the opulence. After a quick wash up, I reached the in-house restaurant past 10 PM, the closing time. 'Martin', the Barman who happened to be my age exactly, ensured that I get a bite while sipping my drink. Next day was her birthday. At 9.30 PM, after a sumptuous dinner, I realised I had forgotten to let the Property to arrange a small cake for the occasion. I called Jorge, at the Front Office and explained my predicament. He had quietly slipped in the Cake in my room and it was breathtakingly beautiful. Thank you ‘Belver Boa Vista Hotel & Spa’, for being so understanding and allow us to make the most of the occasion. Can’t wait to get back!!"

"Property is dated but that was not important to us. It was clean and we had everything we needed. Views were beautiful but may not be suitable for persons with mobility concerns."

"We stayed here for 4 nights and our stay was great. The staff on reception were so friendly and helpful and greeted us every time with a smile and hello as we were on the same floor. The staff at breakfast and at the bar were also friendly and welcoming. Our room was great with a balcony over looking the pool. The spa treatments were great and value for money was amazing. The only thing to comment on which wasn’t too big an issue was the ‘gym’. An outside area with machines which were weathered and not your usual expectation of a gym. There were lots of reviews commenting about the noise but yeah it was noisy when our balcony door was open but not enough to interrupt our sleep or put us off our stay. Great hotel for location and great facilities with great people that work there."

"Hotel was 5 star service ..allow me to check in before 12pm. Room is big and a proper hotel look. Staff was really helpful. Free breakfast. 10 walk to old town. Really good to stay. "

"Noise from other guests were not the fault of the hotel. Did not spoil the trip and would come back again, with ear plugs. Bars and noise from outside was apparent when the doors are closed but not loud enough to prevent sleeping in my opinion. Roof bar was a treat and spent most days, barman Christophe was very attentive and funny. "

"Stay away!! We couldn't get a room we payed for or any other so at 11pm we had to go to other hotel. Next day we got the studio, but not what we booked. Dirty,moldy, smells horrible, full of bugs on beds, dump. I have photos if anyone need, I'll send. I never saw such a bad accomodation ever."

"Lovely little hotel tucked up side street minutes from the square but far enough away to not be disturbed by night life noise. The hotel is a little dated but it was spotless the water was hot air con and WiFi was excellent. Lovely little pool on the roof with a few sunbeds you can basically do what you want. Breakfast is very basic it’s fine for me as I don’t really do breakfast but if you like your traditional fry up then there are plenty of restaurants in the square to chose from. We hired a car and parking was tight near the hotel but at the top of the road was two large carparks. The owners fernando and his wife are lovely and helpful I will be returning later in the year. Good restaurants are ones in the square and through the tunnel to catch the little train go to the end of the beach and go up the escalators the train stop it at the top. They do take cards. "
