"Loved this property and our stay in a room with lake view and open air bath in room. We opted for the half board so we enjoyed their breakfast buffet and nightly Kaiseki dinner, which was delicious and beautifully presented. Our server, Nobuyuki, was so helpful and polite in carefully taking the time to explain each dish to us. The hotel staff were all helpful and professional, with english speaking staff available. Hotel is situated right in the lake and conveniently located to shops,...

Fuji Onsenji Yumedono
4.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (281)
" It's was a treat to stay in a traditional Ryokan-difficult to tell if this is really traditional or not. The onsen was nice, the futon beds were small and uncomfortable, the food looked spectacular but was pretty disappointing, very expensive dinner especially as there are so many nice places for a lot less near by. Breakfast was includde and again looked great but wasn't for us, so we cancelled 2 out of 3 days. Ideally located to explore the area with great views of Fuji about a 2 min walk...

Fuji Speedway Hotel - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt
4.5 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (82)
"The gentleman who spoke excellent English helped us when we drove up to the front is a very excellent representative and face for the hotel and demonstrates hospitality well. The overall hotel has the feeling of omotenashi which is rarer and rarer now as more foreign workers and more foreigners with a disregard for Japanese unspoken habits are hired in these hotels. I hope to come back just to relax and hope to see this hotel maintain its excellence. "

The Gran Resort Princess Fujikawaguchiko
3.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very good, (219)
"The view of Mt.Fuji from my room could not be beat—it was perfect. I loved the onsen as well. I would say the only drawback was that it is quite a walk from the train station—about 1/2 hr. So not ideal if you have luggage. Taxis were hard to come by for us. We could not get a taxi to take us to the train station at 8am."
