"Excellent cottage in great location, very close to town but quietly tucked away. Everything you need for a stay, all fixtures and fittings of good quality. Only minor niggle is limited windows that open and shower was very slow to drain otherwise highly recommended."

"We enjoyed being beside the sea. What the weather wasn't great we walked the coastal path to Alnmouth and cycled to Craster. The cottage was warm and perfect for relaxing after a long day outside. We cooked meals together for seven of us and enjoyed board games in the evenings."

"The Gate House is exactly as described. The property is small but very well appointed (in fact, it felt the perfect size). The host was quick to respond to queries and both thoughtful and detailed in replies. The views of the surrounding landscape are beautiful. The hot tub is nice. The main drive for Hetton Hall is nearby but that wasn’t an issue. We enjoyed a few nights of relaxing time in this excellent property. "Overall, a pleasant stay. A little disappointed at lack of sea view, no view at all, in fact. Property well designed, but smaller than expected. Only real problem was the living area had cobwebs and spiders in ever corner, on the ceiling and in the light fittings. I realise Sept is spider season, but most cobwebs were well established, e.g. skylight in entry. Used the vacuum to clean up after first emptying the canister which was jammed solid. Would book again, but for a shorter stay."
