ituated within the spectacular Langdale Valley this contemporary cottage offers stylish accommodation with incredible mountain walks from the door
Herdwick Place is ideally situated in the spectacular Langdale Valley. Guests lucky enough to stay here can enjoy mountain and valley walks straight from the front door along with many a climbing opportunity. For cyclists there are numerous routes available from the door including some ultra demanding climbs, through to the moderate 11 mile long Great Langdale Valley cycle trail (which can be joined opposite the house, as can the 10 mile long 'Tour de Langdales' route).
This mid terraced contemporary house has been completely refurbished to a very high standard and offers a modern, stylish and cosy base from which to explore the Langdale valley and beyond. The house is tastefully appointed throughout with local art and crafts much of which follows the Herdwick theme. Large windows give the house an open feel with excellent views across Great Langdale Beck to Baysbrown Farm and Lingmoor Fell beyond.
Perfectly positioned Herdwick Place is located on the outskirts of the village of Chapel Stile and is just a short walk from the church, Co-Op store, cafe and the popular Wainwrights pub.
The facilities of Elterwater village, including the Langdale Hotel and Britannia pub are within a half mile and in the opposite direction, deeper into the valley, you will find both Dungeon Ghyll Hotels and the National Trust owned Sticklebarn all within easy reach via the valley path.
In essence the perfect base for couples, friends and family looking to explore the local area.
