"This is a great property, set in a small coastal village with amazing views over the salt marsh and sea beyond which is teaming with seabirds and waders. It is spacious, clean and has every home comfort you would need. The owners have gone out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. A great base for exploring the island!"
Beautifully appointed cottage, overlooking South Harbour, Scalpay

"This lovely cottage is better than the pictures. To start each morning in the sunroom with a cup of tea, looking out at the spectacular view was a gift. The bedrooms were all lovely and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook some wonderful meals. The weather was superb and we were also able to dine outside on the terrace. It was a joy to communicate with the owner, Fiona. We loved the little additional touches, like the local shower gels and shampoo from the Isle of Harris. The Outer Hebrides were better than we imagined. I definitely recommend the hike around the island of Scalpay which you can do right from the house, including a visit to the lighthouse, a definite highlight. The most magnificent beaches are only a short drive away. I hope we can return! And when we do, we will definitely stay here. "

The location whilst being remote is extremely peaceful and within easy reach of Tarbert for supplies and the ferry."
