"My stay at the county hotel Carlisle as always was great friendly reception clean warm room stayed here many times with my granddaughter and we have both enjoyed it the central location perfect "

"One night stop off on the way to the Highlands. The room was clean and quiet, as it was facing away from the motorway. The ladies on reception were great! Ideal for a one nighter. Comfy bed, nice bathroom, the shower was fine. The only downside was the breakfast that was a voucher for the services. It wasnt great food at the 'Good Breakfast'. We would stay again though...thank You! "

"Another fabulous and comfortable stay. Although this time there were no home made biscuits in the room like the last time I visited here....oh well 😔! Breakfast was excellent and it's very good you now do a simple evening meal option too."

"This is a lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds. Very friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. I would particularly applaud receptionists. Only slight negative would be dinner. Placed at a table which wasn’t set properly and had to pinch cutlery from an adjoining table. Even when the waitress came to take our order she didn’t notice! But overall we lived our stay. Room was very well equipped, quiet and very comfortable."
