"Very close to station, buses and Isle of Wight link. Many pubs and restaurants. Room and bed were good. Shower. super. Atmosphere is unique. It reminded me of a hall of residence and retired sailors home. Staff really helpful and kind. It is a charity and therefore feels bigger"hearted than the big hotel chains. Restaurant fine but wine could be better! The VERY BEST UNI QUE feature of this quaint club-hotel is the guest launderette in the basement if u are coming off a ship or traveling around...

"Room was hot, bathroom odd (shower opened onto bedroom! Sink in bedroom) But was cheap and not terrible. Had to hike five minutes to a mediocre pub to get a meal. Closer restaurants were all fast fude (Mickey D’s, Subway, the Colonel). Parking was across a busy street in a shopping center parking lot. "

"The hotel was in an excellent location. Bar service and breakfast both good. Hotel car parking is expensive £12 per night. If you happen to have a blue badge then there is free parking right across from main entrance. Only negative have never been in such a small bathroom. Literally hit of wall when trying to turn round. "Hotel was great, clean, convenient for the harbour, well maintained and nice ambiance in the lobby and restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed the health suite and pool. The only things we noticed was that the air con unit wasn’t working in our room, typically on a really hot night but they did supply a fan which was fine, and the kitchen took a long time with our dinner order but the staff fixed it immediately and were very apologetic. The on site parking is £5/night...
