The cottage had everything we needed; a very well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, lots of indoor and outdoor seating and a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the deck, using the canoes, and paddle boats (it was greatly appreciated that there were life jackets in a variety of sizes), and sitting around the fire pit at night looking at the stars. "We were excited about our stay at Rice Lake! But the house had a few problems and it made our stay less enjoyable. The small A/C unit is located in the living room area and not in the bedrooms. "This is a lovely cottage, beautiful views, great area. I do however have some things I wasn't happy with, mostly the beds. The beds were not comfortable, most of us did not sleep well. That to me is the whole point of renting a place to stay, is to sleep, if the beds aren't comfortable, I won't be coming back. Also, the place wasn't very clean. Every kitchen drawer and cupboard I opened definitely needed cleaning. The amount of dead bugs in the light fixtures was just gross to be honest. ...

Upon entry, a half hour later, the floors were soaking wet and slippery. The garbages were not empty in the bathrooms. The bedding was not freshly laundered.
