Best Aswan Family Hotels

Pyramisa Island Hotel Aswan

5.0 star property
6.4 out of 10, (249)
"Our room needed some maintenance and we assume had not been used for sometime. For example, the sliding door to the balcony screeched loudly when we opened and closed it. The bathroom looked like it had been poorly finished around the bath and sink. The shower wasn't easy to use. Otherwise we enjoyed the view from our room across the Nile, the pool area was very nice. Service for drinks and food was incredibly slow - it looked like there was only one staff member dedicated to serving everyone....

Basma Hotel Aswan

4.0 star property
7.4 out of 10, Good, (251)
"In addition to being a nice place to stay (we stayed there in 2019, and 2024), we love all the artwork in the building and on the grounds--the sculptures and the mosaics and stained glass. NEVER remove them in the name of Modernism. Keep them! They give the hotel a timeless elegance. Also, thank you for relighting your neon sign on the roof, and using the original neon tubing where possible, rather than LEDs which rot in the sun over time, whereas neon is glass, and made by hand. Nubian Beach

2.5 star property
5.4 out of 10, (3)
"Pure thieves. They did not answer the phone to confirm reservation for days. I got a call from a different phone number saying that he presents the hotel but it is full and they will increase the price for an inland hostel as they are overbooked. They needed a deposit on line to send me their boat. Terrible trap in a gang organization. Very much disappointed in Expedia choice and support. I do not know who has my card information now"

Sehel House

6.0 out of 10, (4)
"The hotel is simple and basic, but makes you feel like you are a part of the local village. The ferry ride to the island and visit to the local village makes the visitor see a glimpse of local life. They will cook local food for you on request, and you can tell them what you would like to eat. Felt like a very authentic experience."
