"It’s an older motel but very clean. The owners at this little motel are the sweetest and so kind. It doesn’t have all the amenities like a large hotel but if you’re looking for just a place to lay down and rest, it’s very quiet and again very clean. "I’m not a complainer but this time, yes I am. The first thing is we had to put up a $50 cash deposit which was returned at check out. The room was ok for the money. The toilet seat was broken. The hot water didn’t last long enough. The area where the water control handle is was coming off the wall. Lamp shades had stains on them. Yes, this was a basic room, but dang no ice bucket? "I booked a room online and paid with a card at that time. There were instructions as well as an email sent to me which include check in times/office hours until 10 pm. We got there about 20 minutes before 10 pm to find the office locked. On the door, a piece of paper where the office hours had been altered by scribbling out "10pm" with a sharpie and replacing it with "9pm.""

"We came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with some nature time. We had a lovely stay. The owner was very upfront about damage from a hurricane so I knew I should expect it. There were downed trees and remnants of what looked to be a forest fire. The view on the dock was priceless! The two kids rooms were a bit warm."

"Spent Thanksgiving holiday here with family. Was very nice place and having “spreading out room” on the property was wonderful. Afternoon games and a little fishing (didn’t catch anything but….) was the perfect getaway and no crowds to worry about like being at popular destinations. Owners very pleasant and easy to work with and despite the recent storms, the property was surprisingly well maintained. Would highly recommend for a getaway from it all. "
