"Three brothers and two wives met at the Lake House for the Sand Hill Crane Festival in Birchwood. First, the festival was so interesting and fun and a must do if you like birds. Second, the cabin was fabulous! It was a cold weekend but the fireplace kept us cozy. The bedrooms were very comfortable; the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and utensils; the view of the dock and lake were fabulous. "Overall it was a great house with great amenities. We checked in late (after dark) due to wedding preparations and wedding near by. The following morning, we found some evidence of a potential party from the renters prior (some vomit and Jell-O shot cup in the yard and 1/2 case of Modelo on the back porch near the table), and didn’t contact manager, as it didn’t effect our group staying. "The property is exactly as pictured. The water acce. There ate 2 dogs on a near by property that are litter mates and play but they are trained for an invisible fence and were no worry when we walked our dog past. I wish we could have enjoyed the outside more but were were there for Thanksgiving and the weather was cold. The cabin stays toasty warm. This shouldn't even be called a cabin, it was gorgeous!ss would be wonderful in warmer months."
