Situated in the far south-eastern corner of Austin and bordered by the highway, Franklin Park is an often overlooked district of the Texan capital. The family-friendly Franklin Neighborhood Park has sports fields, playgrounds and barbecue areas. Just to the east is McKinney Falls State Park, for those who love rock hopping among waterfalls and hiking nature trails. In this district there is no nightlife to speak of, making Franklin Park ideal for those who love a good night’s sleep.
