"The waterfall next to room was fabulous and the beds were very comfortable. The downsides are; the room was small, the bathroom was very small, and the place could have used new paint."

"I had a WONDERFUL stay. I was attending the LIDO SOUNDS festival in Linz, and was having trouble getting a taxi. The owner's family helped me get one - they invited me to sit down with them, offered me something to drink while i waited (it was a VERY hot day). Thank you SO much for that generosity and hospitality."

"This hotel is listed in Expedia as "Alpenmotel Sauling". The hardest part was finding it. We followed Google Maps to the location but could not find "Alpenmotel" on any building or sign. We went up and down the streets. We finally found "Sauling" and found a self service set of boxes on the outside. We found our name and the keys. There was a building (house) number but no map. Our room was not in the building we found. So we walked up and down the street to find the house number and then...

"No curtains so everyone else can see what you do at night. No receptionist just a guys front room that he hangs out in. Wifi is a tad broken but apart from that the bed was quite comfy and as expected for a budget hostel."

"A wonderful find. Walkable to old town but away from the hustle bustle. Large room and bathroom. Great breakfast. Alex and Iris were wonderful hosts. If ever in Salzburg again we are definitely staying here. "
