"The Mansions is a beautifully preserved and/or renovated mansion. It is not a typical chain hotel. Each room is unique. Some of the amenities are extra, I.e. no fridge in the room unless you reserve one. Service was responsive. They were having a wedding in the main building and living room for several hours during our stay. But plenty of ways of move around without interfering. The wedding flowers were gorgeous. "Standard hotel room in many regards. However, there was a very strong perfumed scent in the room. At first I accused my partner of spraying his cologne! I'm sensitive to smell so I couldn't sleep the first night as it was overwhelming. Is it the disinfectant from the mop? The smell stayed the entire stay."

"Overall, I had an excellent experience staying at Residency Inn Pittsburgh Oakland. I stayed there for a week, and the room was very well-appointed and comfortable. I especially liked the kitchenette with refrigerator, two burner stove top, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and coffee maker. It was nice to be able to cook a quick meal at your convenience. The hospital is a quick five-minute walk from a wide variety of bars, restaurants, and the University of Pittsburgh campus."

"I went with family to attend a hockey game. We enjoyed being able to park and walk to the arena. Our room was good, however, the bathrooms smelled like urine. We ate breakfast, which was not free, and was served “fake” eggs for $12. I wish there were more dining options. But I still suggest this room if your visiting the PPG arena."
