"Great house in the middle of the fields. You have everything you need. We didn’t use kitchen tools but it seemed to be fool. we used the fireplace as an attraction although it was not so cold these days it was great for an evening together. the bed is uncomfortable with a spring mattress. the sewerage and ventilation in the shower worked poorly. 10/10 for accommodation atmosphere and cleanliness."

"The house is exactly as pictured but they don’t do it justice. From the moment we opened the door it was nothing short of a perfect 4 days. Jamie and Lisa are welcoming and ensure everything is thought of. The only part of the stay that was a bummer was having to leave. "

"Had a lovely weekend staying at Birnie Cottage. Aileen was great at giving information prior to our arrival and gave us a lovely welcome with scones, butter and jam. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The garden is beautiful and we were lucky enough to be able to sit out 2 evenings enjoying the sun and the garden. "A fantastic location. Very central for visiting just about all of Scotland. The cottage was wonderful. Clean, warm, comfortable and the renovation of an old traditional building was to the highest standard. Our host, Bob, was exceptionally helpful on our arrival and easily contacted if required. It was a convenient “home base” for exploring several parts of Scotland. Katie and John were amazing hosts. They (and everyone we met in Scotland) were so warm and friendly. "My sister and I really enjoyed our stay in Kirkmichael. Hannah and Miles were perfect hosts, and the cottage was very clean/cozy and in a very convenient location. We were able to do many day trips to surrounding areas. Great location if you want to visit Pitlochry, Blair Athol, Braemar, and/or other areas within Perthshire. Wonderful hiking trails from the town that vary in length/time that range in difficulty from easy to strenuous. We also highly recommend The Cabin for a meal or two...

"The Servants quarters was a perfect spot for us to stay while visiting for the Highland Games. We cooked our own meals in the well equipped kitchen and avoided the lines downtown. Clean and beautifully decorated and an easy walk to the recreation grounds, downtown, and the Festival Theater."

"I was a little bit skeptical at first: the property is reached by a one lane road, off a small two lane road, off a regional road. Typical Scotland. Yet, once there, it was magnificent. The cottage was adjacent to two cottages and next to small bio domes which seemed interesting to stay also.
