"We used this hotel just outside Trelleborg after the afternoon ferry from Rostock. They gave us a code to access our keys which worked well despite it being dark on arrival. Breakfast was in the golf clubhouse and they cooked us eggs and bacon to go with the cold buffet , all looking out to sea .All good but you may need an umbrella to go for breakfast. Courtesy kettle for tea in the room. I only saw staff at the golf club."

"This hotel was perfect for us. We enjoy being outdoors and stayed in winter. Although a beautiful hotel we felt comfortable walking in in our outdoor boots and coats and the hotel had a quiet, relaxed feel. The staff were excellent, quiet, friendly and hard working. Nothing was too much trouble. The spa area was spacious and relaxing. There was no one there when we went but it did get busier later in the day. There are no tea be coffee making facilities in the rooms but you can buy hot drinks...

"Parking at this place was difficult, as the desk clerk did not give me the proper information that there was an additional parking area which was not sign posted. But what I really didn't like is that I wrote to the hotel manager about this, and she hasn't yet replied. This is a bad sign! In addition, as the hotel is located very close to the port, trucks can idle just outside the back of the hotel while waiting to clear customs. This is really annoying, but the hotel cannot do anything...

Synd att det låg gammalt skräp i byrån, bland annat en gammal "tandgaffel" (från snabbmatsrestaurang) och diverse plock, gamla leksaker, en cd skiva, ofräscht skräp i ett skåp jag inte ville lägga mina kläder. I övrigt var det ok, toaletten var utanför dörren så det hördes in på rummet när folk gick in och ut. Tyvärr städades inte toaletten så ofta som man skulle önska. Ett gammalt glas stod kvar länge och en silverfisk höll sällskap. Vid frågor om vad som var på frukosttallriken fick...

"A charming country estate retreat. Host was very welcoming. The family room with maisonette 2nd bedroom and spacious bathroom was great. "Sudkystens at Pillehill is a a great place to relax and get a fabulous meal. It’s located in a beautiful countryside with a stellar view. We had a dip in the hot tub, which is situated in a lovely garden, and sipped on champagne from the carefully curated wine cellar. If you stay overnight, breakfast is great. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom up to date and clean. We note that our unit had a carpet that needs to be replaced. Otherwise, what a great place to enjoy holidays! "
