"Love the Moxy just a few things, one of my side lamps by the bed wasnt working, also the night lite under the bed wasnt working, and my colleague had her car broken into 2 weeks ago and the shattered glass is still in the car park. Very dangerous"

"Quick one night stay seeing family and friends - head hit the pillow when I got there and quick shower on the way out. Lovely staff and easy parking. Grabbed a drive through Starbucks on the way out."

"Stayed with an elderly family member. Rooms were nice with some lovely touches (Dyson hairdryer, pillow spray, nice radio) but very small and quite noisy - could easily hear footsteps and voices above. The handheld showers in both rooms were leaking; and things like trying to locate radiator valve to put heat on caused unnecessary stress. Breakfast was excellent and the communal lounge area was very pleasant. I didn’t stay with dogs but based on the dog amenities I have recommended to friends. "

"don't know why Hotels.com ask about a charge point - there's virtually none in Devon and Cornwall once you get outside of Plymouth and Truro so i have no idea why this would make any difference to the quality of the accommodation.... This is a great place to stay and is very well used by the locals. Ive stayed here a few times before so im happy to return whenever im in the area"

Lovey hotel

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Before arrival, I requested a bouquet of flowers and some balloons to be arranged in our room, and it was beautifully set up just as we hoped. The room itself was lovely, we stayed in a castle valley view room. Waking up to a breathtaking sunrise made it even more memorable. The Sunday roast was exceptional, honestly, the best we’ve had anywhere, and we’ve tried many places for roasts! Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of variety. We even requested a few items not on the menu, and it was no trouble at all. A truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!"

Lovely cosy cottage

"We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It’s spacious, comfortable and was very warm and cosy even in cold winter weather. The location is peaceful - no disturbance from the farm - and the owners Carol and Russell are helpful and friendly. It’s a brilliant base for exploring this part of Devon, right on the edge of Dartmoor and also not far from the coast. We did some great (hilly) bike rides and enjoyed walking along the lanes to the Carpenters Arms in Ilsington (great food and beer). Hope to be back next year!"
