"Hotel is great. The best. Area is not great but safe enough. Hotel shuttle is good but not cheap. Restaurant is very good atmosphere. Cruise ship terminal is close by for walking. "

"Fort George hotel exceeded my expectations. Online we were warned to avoid Belize City but we had no problems the 5 days and 4 nights we stayed there. The location is perfect; walking distance to the water taxis, walking distance to shopping, short taxi ride to most restaurants. The restaurant in hotel was also phenomenal with great food and even better service. The front desk staff were always bubbly and welcoming, with the concierge giving excellent recommendations on what to do, where to go, and when. I definitely recommend Fort George and would for sure stay there again if staying in Belize City!"

"Got in too late to go anywhere from the airport so stayed here one night. Very pretty interior courtyard with a pool, they have a restaurant and a bar in the interior courtyard, plus a coffee shop & wine shop in the front area. It's only a few minutes (10-15) from the airport and a great place to stay if you need to stay the night before coming or going to BZE airport. They also have an airport shuttle instead of taking a taxi. Just make arrangements ahead of time."

"This is a great resort to stay at. We traveled with our 4 year old who enjoyed the expansive pool. There is not much beach but you can walk or run almost into San Pedro on it (about 2 miles). If you are going to Belize to dive or other tours keep in mind most of them leave from San Pedro. You will need to arrange transport from the hotel, either calling for a taxi or renting a golf cart. Driving the golf carts around Ambergis Caye is a bit of experience, but not too bad as there aren't a ton of other cars. There are several really good restaurants within 0.5 mile walk from the resort. There is also a small convenience store with produce. "

"Totally worth it even though we had to take their ferry back and forth to town. One problem was the lighting in the room was horrible. Maybe 6500k. Gave us a headache after a while. "
