"The Waitsfield Inn is a beautiful historic New England-style Inn/BnB. The rooms are decorated comfortably, the common areas are warm and inviting, super easy check-in, delicious breakfast (be sure to try the homemade oatmeal!) and an easy drive to ski Sugarbush and Mad River Glen. There are a few restaurants nearby as well. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 teen and 1 kid) stayed in one of the family rooms and although we wished we had a bigger bathroom (just a small shower stall), it was all we really needed for a couple days. The room was large, beds comfortable, and really a lovely stay. Thank you so much! We hope to be back on our next visit to the beautiful Mad River Valley! "

Great place to stay for ski trip

"We had a large friend group over for a ski trip and were able to sleep all of us comfortably. The rooms and amenities are accurately described. The kitchen is stocked with spices and a great place to cook meals for everyone. Our view of the mountains from the house was incredible and the hot tub was well maintained and comfortable. Only thing I need to mention is the driveway and access roads are steep and icy/snowy. We had a few cars without 4 wheel drive get stuck and needed more sand/salt than was already provided. Will definitely consider coming back next year."

"We had an incredible stay at this property! The location was unbeatable—close to everything we needed and perfect for exploring the area. The kitchen was a standout feature, stocked with all the cooking supplies we could ask for, making meal preparation a breeze. The space was also very roomy, with plenty of room for our group to spread out and relax. Clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, this property truly exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect getaway!"

Quaint, comfortable and a delicious breakfast

"The hosts are welcoming, the B&B is cozy and clean, and the breakfast is delicious. This is an old house from the 1800’s with all the charm you would expect, but completely renovated to have all the modern conveniences and very clean. The wood burning fireplace is so inviting. The breakfast is not your typical breakfast. It is a three course delight. We stayed 2 nights. The first morning we had a sweet scone, followed by a poached pear followed by a potato frittata with lox and poached egg. The second morning we had a savory cheese scone, followed by a citrus compote, followed by fresh ricotta and lemon pancakes. The drive to Sugarbush is quick and well worth the drive to stay at the Featherbed Inn. We would stay here again in a heartbeat."

Back in Time

"Location was great. The house was just ok. Pictures are way better than the property. The house just didn't feel clean. Ownership ask you to remove your shoes. But dirt sticks to your bare feet, a lot of it. There was an old hard brownie on top of the refrigerator left behind. Coffee is from the 70's and sad. One tv in the whole house had to move it from room to room. Laundry room half bath is the best . Both full baths are very very dated. And the shower in one is not even useable. It would not recommend this house. This property has not had much effort put in to it."
