"We really enjoyed our stay here at the North 40 Lodge. Our cabin was clean and very cozy. It is set in a very peaceful location too. It was nice to sit out on the front porch in the rocking chairs just relaxing in nature. I loved there was a parking spot right up front with made unloading and loading very easy! "Check in and check out was super easy, since visiting in the Fall we did not use the pool, I did walk over and it’s beautiful, we had a fireplace but did not see instructions on how to turn it on, the kitchen was fully equipped, our linens and towels were high quality, I had to contact the office because there was no hairdryer in our unit which they supplied, my only observation was the toilets, I wish they were higher. I would definitely recommend the Lodge to stay. It’s a beautiful location...

Brasstown bald is a privately run state park. As a finishing point on the tour de Georgia it rises 4,784 feet and is the tallest mountain in Georgia. The final leg of this mountain is a 3 mile road, or hiking trail, that takes you the final 1,800 feet to the summit, often times called the wall because of how steep the road is. The view from the top of Brasstown is spectacular. On a good day you can see Atlanta's skyline, about 80 miles away. On this day it was completely overcast and foggy below, but as we rose to the summit of Brasstown bald we got through the top of the clouds to be able to see the tips of the clouds only.

"Our stay was just a quick overnight stay so that we could run around Helen,GA for a little bit. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable. I inked the roll around office chair. It was comfortable to sit in. The only downside was that the paint in the bathroom/ tub area was peeling and there was a couple of places where the wall was patched that was a little unsightly but they are just aesthetics. We loved our stay overall and would definitely go back."
