"The inner courtyard is lovely. We had popped in for a drink when previously in Zafra so this time decided to stay. The beds were very comfortable and everywhere was clean. The breakfast was very good and we stayed for dinner, mostly due to the lovely surroundings. The service was very good and the food was fine though not outstanding. "Everything was very clean, there isn’t anyone at the front desk and you have to do everything online but it wasn’t bad. The staff that were there, only during breakfast, were very kind and the food was delicious. "

"Very central and an easy walk into centre. Lovely setting, it's partly built into the city wall. Very clean and nice communal areas. Communication is very difficult as we have limited Spanish and non of the staff spoke English but we battled through. We've stayed her several times on our way back and forwa to Cadiz and we will definitely stay again. There parking available at a rate of 10Eur per day however it's worth the extra as it is secure."

"Attractive older property located right on the old town square. Room and bathroom both decent sized, clean and tastefully decorated. Bathroom fittings a little dated but top quality including a nice steel bath 👍. Nice bar and restaurant. The only downside was my 1st floor suffered noise from the kitchen / laundry room especially 9 to 10pm. I would definitely return. "

"easy to find from a8 road hotel very basic rustic no facilities in room except bed wardrobe and bathroom hotel had no services to buy drinks or restuarant closed for breakfast plus side bathroom very good. on check out advised had to pay though i explained booked with expedia but advised this was not payment and had to pay again strange as in other hotels i stopped in hotels advised payments made.."

"We have nothing but praise for this hotel! The beds were incredibly comfy, the room was way more spacious than it looked in the picture, and it is super clean! The ‘make your own breakfast’ is really smart - no need to hurry in the mornings :) It’s family run, and they are so nice and helpful. Loved them! The village is cute too, and everyone is really nice and friendly. Lovely Zafra is just a 15 minute drive away. We traveled as a family of three (child aged 8), but it is definitely best...

"The hotel is well placed for travel south in Spain being just off the A66. The room was spacious and comfortable with a good en suite facility. Less good is the restaurant which doesn’t serve food until 8pm - not good after a day’s travelling. The choice of dishes is limited and the food is not sufficiently well cooked. "Lovely stay in beautiful old residence. Great quiet location, easy parking nearby, walking distance to bars and restaurants. "

"Very relaxing setting. Nice change from tourist areas. No TV in the room was a good thing. Rooms were very clean and very well decorated. Linch and dinner are.served at the hotel as the town has few dining options. Meals were very good."

"It was a large spa area full of old people coming for treatment. we felt slightly out of place . everyone was in groups doing excercises, playing games and in the morning queing up in their dressing gowns at the Doctor's before going in for their treatment. otherwise it was fine."

"Best hosts ever. Was greeted by owner's father and mother. We were shown the property and asked if we wanted a fire lit while we were out seeing the ruins. And we had a warm cozy home to return to. Homemade marmalade, wonderful cheese and meats. Homemade pound cake, good thing we only stayed one night we could get fat."
