"Loved it here, very relaxing stay, lovely scones available on arrival and each afternoon, bed was comfy, shower was good. View from window onto River was beautiful. Liked that there was no TV in the room, more opportunity to relax. Also had an EV charger, was unable to get to it first night as someone else was parked in the space, but had access the following night so had enough charge to get home. Ate there 1 evening out of 2. "The staff were all excellent and attractive. The room was comfortable. The spa-bath in our en-suit was a lithe noisy but fun. We enjoyed a swim in the pool, not huge, but not busy. The only negative was breakfast was not very hot but otherwise the restaurant dinner was lovely, and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. Great location for exploring the south lakes and Furness peninsula. "
