Booked two nights via Expedia 2/7 and 2/8. Received confirmation of both dates, was billed for the charges and received a receipt. I am a single mother traveling with three teenage girls to the city for an all day volleyball tournament. Showed up to the hotel at 11 pm on 2/7 and was told I did not have a room. Told that they would not assist me in finding a room and told that I should just call Expedia. I have never felt like such a piece of discarded trash before in my life. Front desk didn't care that I had confirmation and receipt, just shrugged me off and said they don't have any rooms. She even offered to turn the computer around and let me look. I had three tired and scared girls with no where to go and absolutely no help. Other than "call Expedia". Started calling random hotels instead and ended up paying twice the price to stay at the first available that I could find. Arrived at our hotel at midnight. Expedia was very helpful the next morning in refunding the cost of the night and are working on refunding me the difference. If a hotel is going to use an online booking system that may or may not work, they need to have something set up in place for customer service when they do not receive the proper booking information. Instead, I had two guards hover over me, while sitting in the lobby crying and trying to figure out where to take my children at almost midnight in an unfamiliar hard enough to navigate city. I will never stay at this hotel again.
