" Being Yanks from the west coast of the USA we have always loved the Cotswolds. Where better than Cirencester to spend a quiet month getting to know the area and people. This is a Village with lots of beauty and history to savor. North Cerney, just five miles out in the country is a quiet little cluster of cottages with a local pub where the food was fabulous. Ask for the filet with stilton garlic sauce!!! Courtyard Cottage - Adults Only

4.0 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (8)
"We loved this place as soon as we set our eyes on it, both from the outside and the inside. Plenty of space in all rooms and everything else that you'd need, from wood to make a fire to a few biscuits and tea. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Lovely grounds too. Not too far from the hills for walking or visiting nearby villages and towns. Plenty of local walks too. The pub up the road, The Butchers Arms serves excellent food as well as drinks. All in all, an excellent place to stay. Thank you. "

Swereview Cottage | Swerford Holiday Let | 2 Beds & Sleeps 4

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (1)
"We had a lovely stay as a young family of four. Although the two single bed room wasn't really appropriate for our young children as the stairs were quite steep and it was a mezzanine as opposed to a separate room. But fortunately the owner installed a stairgate for us which made things a lot safer. It'll be worth mentioning this in the description. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and it was close to lots of family friendly activities"

"This cottage was beautifully appointed and great for ease of access to Cheltenham. Note that it is on a main road, so there is some traffic noise. The bedrooms were not made for tall people due to the ceiling angle, but I didn’t have any issues at 5’2 :)."

"We had an absolutely magical weekend in the Cotswalds. The property is perfect and exactly as described. Check in and check out were effortless, and the host was immediately responsive, even though Europe was in the midstate Verizon data glitch. It’s a short, beautiful stroll to Stow-on-wald and we spent a spectacular afternoon trekking to Bourton-on-the-water. The property is literally across the street from the Lower Swell pub which had great food and was an oasis of quiet local culture in a...
