Escape to Highlands Centre For Healing, a sanctuary offering equine therapy and wellness retreats. Experience very special, gentle nurturing energy in nature, perfect for unwinding and de-stressing.
Inhale the scent of ancient gum trees as you enter our magnificent 106 acre paradise. Feel calm as you meander the gently winding 550m sealed driveway to The Stables, where Magnet & Ziggy, the resident dogs, will likely greet you.
The accommodation offered is 1 bedroom (queen bed), 1 bathroom, 1 living room in the stables. [+ sofa bed in living room*]. Built in 2017 the rooms have beautiful views to the north, are passive solar heated, very comfortable, clean and insulated. All rooms are separately accessed off the breezeway (please refer floorplan in photos). [*Pricing is for 1 or 2 people using the bedroom. If the sofa bed in the living room is needed there is an additional cost.]
The living room has a wood burner, kitchenette and access out to the herb garden. The kitchenette has a kettle, toaster, electric wok, microwave, single gas ring and fridge/freezer. Instant coffee and a variety of teas are provided; otherwise all food is BYO. There is a TV, although we recommend you immerse yourself in nature and the tranquility on offer and enjoy the country space. Phone reception is patchy.
The bedroom has a queen bed. Bed linen and towels are provided. Also
robes and hairdryer.
We offer therapeutic equine sessions, both for 1:1 and small groups. You may need to share the bathroom with a few clients between 10am-5pm. At night the bathroom is 100% yours. The bedroom and living space is yours all the time. My clients are very aware to respect your privacy and we ask that you respect theirs.
The property runs on standalone solar energy and fresh, filtered rainwater. We ask that you respect the need to be careful with power usage after dark and on overcast days.
The stables are about 330m as the crow flies from the main residence and completely private between dusk and early morning. Activity starts at the stables usually between 7-8am, depending on weather and season.
Your host lives on site and is available much of the time (dependent on client and horse needs).
NOTE: Please respect that we are a non-smoking property.
Eureka Pines is home to two herds of horses, one that offers equine therapy (wellbeing for people) and the second being spellers enjoying their holiday.
You are most welcome to explore the wetland, woodland, adjacent bushland (great for bushwalking). Watch kangaroos hop through the paddocks at dusk, deer are usually present in the very early morning, wombats, lots of birdlife and the occasional turtle and echidna have been spotted on site.
For everyone's safety, please check which paddocks are OK to access on arrival.
It's a beautiful space for artists, writers and those who just want to hole up and recharge in nature.
