"This is our second time staying at this home. We were here in August and again in October. Immaculate well supplied home on a beautiful piece of property. Owner is very eager to please. We were up there for a wedding and I made sure to let others know if they are looking for a great place this is it. We will definitely stay again if we are going to this area."

"A perfect little home away from home nestled in the Adirondack Mountains. Our family loved this rustic cabin on a private quiet lake. Great central location to alot of fun activities and attractions. This was just what our Family needed for an end of summer get-away! "

"A great location for the hiking and kayaking we wanted to experience in the Adirondack mountains. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was adequately supplied. The home was a little dark for reading which were were prepared for with book lights. You can hear the cars on route 87 to be aware of if the would bother you. "

"Great location. We enjoyed our overdue gateway, very peaceful, though it’s very close to the bridge, the traffic noise didn’t bother us at all - was drowned out by the water rushing. The mattress in master bedroom is too soft for us to sleep in (found blankets or something tucked in between mattress and box spring). We wished that they disclosed about the cameras installed outside"

"The Refuge cottage is cozy and well maintained. With a great area outside with a nice fireplace to have fires at night, a charming porch to sit on and enjoy the lake view or have meals. Ideal place for a couple as there is only one bedroom and a loft with two single beds. Loft has a solidly built ladder to climb up to the loft. We were three women in our 60s a little challenging dealing with the climb up to the loft. That’s on us for not reading the description more carefully. Everything worked out fine. There is a love seat pull out bed we could have used. We had a lovely four night stay. Neighbor Travis couldn’t have been more helpful when Kim the owner promptly contacted him re a fuse problem. Also let us use his kayak as there were only two there and three of us . "
