Quiet and amazing
Left email to go to room as pub not open till 6 - fantastic, no mither. Room cosy with a view. In fridge and cupboard had snacks and breakfast items, brilliant. Went down for meal, had lamb chops, phenomenal. Loads of parking, WiFi a bit hit and miss. So quiet 11/10

Never seen it before, but breakfast was self serve in the room. A cupboard held cereal, granola, bread, preserves and the fridge held butter, milk, orange juice and yoghurt. Unusual, but very convenient.

Lovely Pub Accommodation
We just stayed for a night but the room was really nice, spacious and clean. They pub provides breakfast which you can make in your room (cereal, muesli, toast etc) which worked for us. Staff were really friendly and helpful, the pub itself is lovely and cosy on a cold winter's night.

Work
Perfect location for my trip. Everything was clean warm and tidy. My only niggle was I thought I was getting a cooked breakfast but there is no cooked breakfast. The breakfast is a continental breakfast cereal bread for toast etc. But overall pleasant and would use again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable and exceptionally clean with comfortable bed. Evening meal in busy bar with cosy fire was lovely. Breakfast was DIY in the room (no cooked option) but perfectly acceptable.

It was a pleasant stay and convenient for our needs. They allowed an early check in, which was really kind. The room was warm.and clean with added touches. The breakfast was lovely and great to be able to have it at our convenience in the room. I would definitely recommend The Anchor Inn. Thank you for a very plesant stay.

Lovely country inn
The Anchor is a village pub with some rooms at the back. We were in "Lavers" which, I suspect, is the smallest room but perfectly fine for the two of us. The room itself was immaculate, clean with good quality fittings and views over open countryside. We only had a small shower room but again well appointed. Breakfast is do-it-yourself with a toaster and kettle in the room but there was fresh orange, bottled water, butter and milk ( real milk, not UHT) in the fridge, and cereals, bread and a selection of jams provided so it was perfectly fine. Food is served either in the lounge or a separate dining room and is excellent. We had a Sunday lunch which was delicious. The only negatives I would mention is if you have children they're not allowed in the bar or lounge. Also unless there are ground floor rooms which I didn't see, the rooms are accessed by a flight of fairly steep outside steps so not great for anyone with mobility problems. That aside it's a lovely pub and certainly worth a try.
