"Cosy cottage located in the hosts beautiful garden. Felt very secluded despite being close to the main Chester Road. Easy access to Delamere and the Sandstone Trail as well as lots of pretty Cheshire villages. Hosts were very helpful."

"We had a wonderful stay in this delightful cottage. It has been beautifully decorated and furnished so that it feels warm and cosy - like a real home rather than rental accommodation. The only downside is the lane leading to the property which is badly potholed but I believe there are plans to fix this in the near future. When you get here it is totally worth it!"

"The accommodation was very poor standard. The small bedroom had no electricity except for overhead light. Situation of bed meant no access to bedside table in that room. Really unfit for purpose The place felt grubby. Not enough crockery. No basics left eg milk bread washing up liquid. The upstairs toilet blocked on first day and left a voicemail msge to Gary but no reply. Bathroom needs immediate refurbishment. "After booking and paying in full the hosts went off grid, not only would they not respond to us, but Vrbo couldn’t get hold of them either. We were left with 3 children and a baby with nowhere to stay, 4 hours away from home. Avoid this host at all costs. Vrbo were equally unhelpful in resolving the matter, telling us to sort our own arrangements out for ourselves (at 5pm!). An incredibly stressful time, would absolutely not recommend these hosts, or Vrbo as a booking platform."

"Stayed here in November 2023 and the only issue then was the plug release in the bath was broken. We stayed again in the same room September 2024 and they have still not fixed the plug release I had to get a teaspoon and pry it open!! Apart from that the food is fantastic and service brilliant. Sad to see the Candal factory has gone under after 50 years. We will be back might try a different room next time. "
