A beautifully renovated property in a magnificent setting. As soon as you walk through the door you will see the care and attention to detail. This property offers an open plan lounge with a fully fitted kitchen, you can have dinner on the covered balcony and enjoy the sunset views towards the historic Hengrave Hall, a Grade I listed Tudor mansion which is nestled in 70 acres of private land, gardens and church. The View is ideally situated to explore both the Suffolk countryside with its numerous National Trust buildings and further afield, the coast.
The historic town of Bury St Edmunds offers outstanding examples of Georgian Architecture, the Abbey Gardens with its ruins and Cathedral, Greene King Brewery tours, Theatres, and Cinemas. As well as a wealth of shops, markets, pubs and restaurants. Enjoy a day at Newmarket Races or discover the cities of Cambridge and Ely with its magnificent Cathedral. Historic tours of the town are available highlighting Bury’s links with the Magna Carta, Mary Tudor and the founding of Jamestown, Virginia.
There are Three Golf courses, two restaurants and a pub within a mile and the area is excellent for walking and cycling. (Cycle storage is available). Ickworth Park, Lackford Lakes bird sanctuary, West Stow country Park and Saxon village are all very close with Thetford forest just beyond.

The View
The View is a very nice property and I would stay there again. However, I would say there are two factors to consider that don’t seem to be covered by the ‘blurb’ Can you survive without a mobile phone signal? Would you have a problem with the stairs up to the accommodation?
