"I had a lovely stay here. As a single women traveling alone I felt very safe at this location. It was close enough to walk into the city for meals, shopping, and exploring. "Gaby and Jochen were absolute stellar hosts who were always there to answer any questions we had. Their exquisite meals were served in an open air bar high up overlooking the lake and volcanos in the distance. We would not hesitate to recommend this unique property with its open air rooms."

"Only there for a night. The host/manager could have done a better job explaining how to get there, instead of simply suggesting to use Waze maps! Also, they are building a new house at the bottom of the property, so it's a little dangerous having to walk thru a construction site to get to the beach down below. "The property islocated in the peaceful village of tzununa. Ist next to san marcos. The reason we loved tgis place because its wuiet and peaceful and authentic eco friendly. "Beautiful property, great location and friendly staff. Definitely a great recommendation for a unique stay for those looking for "adventure travel" to Lake Atitlán that want peace and quiet. If you are more accustomed to bougie traveling you might want to consider more traditional hotel as you do need to prepare for a little walking up the stairs to your room and no heat when it can get cold in November. Very picturesque and highly recommended."

"Absolutely loved this place. So so cute, clean, quiet and relaxing. The staff is so accommodating and sweet, they were always asking if they could get me anything. Food is SO GOOD. Best juices I have ever had in my life. The stairs around the property are killer but it’s worth it for the views, quality and price. Can’t wait to come back!"

"Very charming hotel overlooking the lake. Lovely landscaping made for beautiful outdoor spaces to lie in a hammock, sit by the water, etc. Our room was clean and nice, but the bathroom and sheets could have been better. Breakfast was good - you get some options of traditional Guatemalan, more American style, pancakes, yogurt/granola etc. It is built into the hillside over the lake so there is some walking up and down to get around, but the staff kindly helped us with our luggage. No TVs in our room so would recommend bringing books / a deck of cards. We enjoyed using the free kayaks but were a little disappointed the hot tub was an additional charge. The area is in between San Juan and San Pedro - it's an easy walk into San Juan by a path down by the water, and easy to walk into San Pedro too but it's along a main road without sidewalks. Tuktuks are cheap and easy ways to get around, as are water taxis."
