Spend your next lake getaway at Carnelian Bay Hideaway! Located in Carnelian Bay, on a quiet street surrounded by pines, with a beautiful partial lake view, and only minutes from the lake, this is the best homebase in Tahoe!
As you park and walk up to the home, you’ll notice our spacious deck with a beautiful partial lake view, and surrounded by trees. On the deck we have a barbecue, hot tub, and plenty of seating for your entire group!
Walking into the home, we have a large open concept living area equipped with Sonos Speakers, a large Smart TV, and cozy fireplace. In addition, we have a fully equipped kitchen with all the appliances you will need during your stay - including an air fryer!
On this first level we also have the first master bedroom with king bed, a queen bedroom, full bathroom, and laundry room with washer/dryer.
Moving upstairs you will find our loft area equipped with a desk, large Smart TV, Sonos Speaker, and couch for working or relaxing! On this level you will find our second master bedroom, full bathroom, and bunk room.
With spacious closets throughout, four bedrooms, and two living areas, we know Carnelian Bay Hideaway will be the best homebase for your group to spread out and relax over a lake vacation!
HOME TRUTHS:
- 6 adults maximum per reservation.
- Like most homes in Lake Tahoe, we do not have air conditioning.
- There are no bathtubs in the home.
- During the winter months, outdoor furniture and BBQ may not be available.
- Propane may not be full upon your arrival or run out during your stay. We will send over reimbursement if you need to refill.
- During the winter months, we recommend 4WD.
- As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
- If a bear breaks into the home/bear box because bear aware rules are not followed, there will be a minimum $250 fee.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Furnishings and amenities will be furnished as described whenever possible. In the event that an item is damaged/broken/lost the owner will restock as soon as possible. All items in description/pictures are not guaranteed.
Please note that this rental does require purchasing short term vacation rental insurance for stays up to 29 nights (reservations longer than 29 nights will need to discuss insurance options with Tahoe Cohost Collective prior to booking). The SafelyStay, Inc. Trust and Safety Fee includes up to $10,000 of accidental coverage for contents damage and up to $100,000 coverage for accidental property damage and bodily injury, if the fee has been paid. Due to unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances, including poor air quality and smoke associated with wildfires, we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to cover your cancellation, as we will not be able to offer a full refund outside the cancellation window.

Please note that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot always control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are far and few between, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control.
One lesson we've learned about the great outdoors is the frequent requirement to wipe down the deck furniture. Despite our efforts to maintain the utmost cleanliness for your convenience, it seems that nature is working against us. You may need to wipe down the outdoor table, chairs, and any other outdoor seating. The dust and pollen accumulates within a matter of hours.
