"Could not recommend this hotel more! We had a week of serene relaxation. The hotel is slightly outside the nearest town and not connected by public transport but the hotel is well served by local taxi. Fabulous if you are looking for a relaxing escape! Staff were incredible - polite, friendly, helpful, diligent (the list goes on)! No ask was too big or too trivial and someone was always on hand to help out. We were slightly late in the season so the hotel was quiet (no bad thing) but still had plenty of activities on (walks and exercise classes etc.) and live music on some days with dinner. The rooms are large, clean and well serviced! The spa is phenomenal… we went almost everyday and my fiancée loved her back massage. The pool and beach equally as incredible. The beach is a 15/20 minute drive away on a shuttle service (only a couple of options but this may have been time of year) but this is comfortable and timely. Food and drink options are plentiful at seemingly all hours of the day and we very much enjoyed overindulging at the hotel restaurant. All in all, a very pleasant and enjoyable trip - would certainly return to Almar!"

The room we stayed in was gorgeous well worth the extra for a superior room and the shower was the most powerful I’ve ever used! Just needs more guests to make it a busy bustling hotel and I’m sure the next reviews will be better!"

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at this property, and it was an experience worth sharing! The check-in process was seamless. The host provided clear instructions, and his meeting at the property made it super convenient. The property was immaculately clean, welcoming, and it exceeded expectations. The charming décor created a cozy atmosphere. The kitchen was fully equipped with needed appliances to prepare meals. A standout feature was the private pool, perfect for a refreshing swim, with poolside loungers and a shaded seating area for relaxation. The outdoor space, including the patio and garden, was beautifully landscaped, ideal for morning coffee and family meals. Thoughtful details like the welcome basket made me feel pampered. Situated in a quiet neighborhood, it was peaceful yet close to local attractions, shops, restaurants, and the water, all within a short walk or drive. The host was fantastic – responsive, friendly, and attentive. They were always available to answer any questions. I can't recommend this VRBO property highly enough. Whether you're looking for a relaxing retreat or a convenient base for exploring the area, this property is ideal. I left feeling refreshed and will definitely return. "As soon as you walk in you step back into the 80s. This place needs a facelift and everything else included ASAP. The rooms are ok, the beds are hard! Cold tile flooring everywhere. The ALL INCLUSIVE is the biggest rip off EVER! The food is complete garbage and they only serve pasta and fish so if you don’t eat that you are screwed. If you want something to drink you have to walk from where you are eating and grabbing food to across the hotels lobby and to the bar. The only alcoholic drinks are some cheap wines they have. There are no towels at the pool. Theres a train that takes you to a beautiful beach and honestly that was the only thing making us happy until it broke down and we had to walk back with our 3 yr old twins. The staff at the buffet will watch you like hawks and correct you if you do something they dont approve of. Sicilians are just a whole different breed, I swear. Almost no one here at the hotel speaks English."
