A good location for walks in the south of the peak district, particularly up to Hen's Cloud and the Roaches, Gradbach Mill and Lud's Church, and a little further away Miller's Dale & Chee Dale gorge. Nice to have a welcoming couple of slices of homemade cake and a jug of fresh milk on arrival. The accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. The mobile service (EE) is not the best from within the cottage through the solid stone walls...

"Excellent cottage, clean,comfortable and homely, many people would be upset because of lack of phone signal or internet but made it for me real peace and quiet, Excellent kitchen is well equipped with pots pans,cutlery, drink making facilities, and the views from the cottage are outstanding. "

"My partner and I have just returned from this beautiful cottage - it has everything you could possibly need and is in an idyllic spot, close to many walks and with a pub only 2 minutes walk away (there was also a 20% off voucher for this pub waiting for us in the cottage). The cottage was very clean and contained all the amenities you could want or need, with a fully loaded kitchen and 2 modern bathrooms. There is a front and back garden, beautifully tended and fully enclosed, so safe for pets....
