We stayed for 1 night. Beautiful hotel. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Room clean and tidy and plenty of room. Booked evening meal. We had the Christmas dinner which was absolutely beautiful. We would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again.

Our seventh stay at the Moat House. So nice to see familiar faces as this shows the MH retains staff. Friendly reception staff, bar staff and attentive restaurant staff. A particular mention for Alex in the bar and Amy in the restaurant please. We were surprised on our return to the room on day 2 that it had not been serviced. We were told that we should have put a sign out requesting service. This was new to us and ought to have been mentioned on check in. We could not redeem our LP points on checkout as, apparently, we can only do this ‘at the till’. As everything went on one tab and we didn’t pay either at the bar or in the restaurant this appeared to be rather petty and irritating. Apart from the above of course we will stay again. The restaurant is wonderful with skilled chefs respecting the food and mindful of their customers.

Close to the M6 The Moat House makes for a lovely staging post. Restaurant specialises in steaks. It’s stylish and popular with locals so booking is important. The hotel is an upgraded historical lodge and has stylish decor throughout. The room was spacious and comfortable. My only mild disappointment was the breakfast was a bit small. Overall strongly recommended.

Super stay, our third visit. The team are always so welcoming. A couple of bits that could have been improved on.... the heating turned on in my room before my arrival. There were a couple of small issues but the hotel was happy to put right had I asked.

A lovely peaceful place with its own moat and fishpond as well as a working canal behind it. Dog friendly, with a dog bed and bowls supplied. My second visit with my two dogs.

First time staying at the Moat House. We had an unexpected room upgrade and we ended up in the Pagent suite which is a beautiful room with patio doors that lead onto the side of the canal. All of the encountered were very friendly but also professional. We had our evening dinner in the restaurant and the food was fabulous. This hotel is a gem. We will definitely go back.

Our second stay here and it certainly won’t be our last. Excellent Hotel. The only thing letting it down was the lack of USB connections in the bedroom. A minor point granted. The quality of the food is fabulous!

It was a briefi stay however we were impressed by the service from your staff and your chefs. We both have allergy to certain foods and everyone understood the seriousness if it goes wrong. The reception greeting was very polite and helpful on arrival. The other comment was that although you had a wedding taking place the hotel guests still received the utmost attention in the bar and restaurant which was excellent and not like a lot of hotel we have stayed where you get diluted sevice.
