"The shower leaked and was dirty. Operators said they would send a cleaner - they did not do so. Shower drain was blocked. A repair man poured drain-cleaner down it . The bidet leaked onto the floor. The entire bathroom smelled permanently of stale urine. I purchased cleaning fluid, but this did not get rid of the smell. The toilet seat was not fixed to the toilet. "Perfect spot to relax for a week. Rooms are a good size and the pool is nice and spacious. Plus, the staff were really friendly and helpful. Only a few downsides: the pool lining is black so the water gets really hot; the air con isn’t very efficient so rooms don’t get super cold; the hotel is a decent walk from most parts of the island so you need to take the hotel shuttle, which charges €5 per person each time. There is a sister hotel closer to the restaurants but lacks a pool. "

"Dontatella and her fabulous team were so welcoming and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The property is beautiful and the pictures do not do the garden justice. The drinks and food were delicious and not at all expensive and the service was excellent. We could walk to most places so a great location. I wish all hotels had the same caliber of staff. This very picky traveler would not hesitate to strongly recommend this hotel. "

"A beautiful property, slightly difficult to find initially. The room is large and clean and very comfortable. Easy to walk from the port and also to the Marina Corricella. Dining options are good in both those areas. Walkable to some of the beaches too. Staff were very helpful in given you pointers on the best spots. If I’m ever back on Procida, I would definitely be more than happy to stay here again."

"Calacala was our favourite accomodation throughout all of Italy. The family-run service really shines through and the hospitality is unmatched. "It was only a 10 minute level walk to the ferry port. Room was very nice with a balcony facing the sea. We had many food options nearby and the historical areas were just a short walk away. Breakfast was very good, served on a terrace overlooking the sea. I highly recommend but if you have trouble with stairs, it is a 3 flight walk up to the room."
