I had stayed in other two hotels before in Chiayi & this is by far the least satisfying.

It was a lovely hotel to stay in and a great location especially for the Old Taiwanese Tile Museum which I also recommend. The hotel was cosy, although the door is not very sound proof and my room was next to the lift so I could hear people talking and going about.

It was adequate. Not having a bedside table between the 2 beds meant that we could push both beds together and have our 2 year old in the middle so she wouldn't fall of the edges. It is something rare in hotels.

It's in principle an OK hotel, but they only minimally clean the rooms, if at all. The shower smelled of fungus and there was limescale everywhere. Also, many stains on the walls and tiles. The "city view" that they have on the pictures was definitely not what we got (even though our room was "upgraded"). We just had 1 meter view to wall of the next building that is against this building... Not at all as expected
