The hotel rooms are big and nice but it is very dirty, I found hairs in the shower, dust on the floor and the blanket had a very old blood stain. They have a rule of booking the house keeping but during the check-in they don't tell you, so how would you know? Long story short no house keeping for me, the manager also tried to convince me that she told me about the booking, but she wasn't the person that checkede in. Anyway I would suggest you to go here just if it is the cheaper around otherwise better solutions are available.

The hotel is very central. Shopping, theaters, parks, the L, restaurants - perfect location. The Thorpe itself was a little ran down though but the hotel room was clean. Beds very comfy. Big minus was the view from our room, we looked straight into a parking garage. Ergo the there was a lot of noise from the cars.

Property building is older but fairly well kept. Cleanliness was an issue in our room as there was ample dust and debris under headboard area around mattress and a long black hair on the pillowcase. Way too expensive for the condition of the room. Expedia quoted us $684 for 2 nights and when we got to the hotel they wanted $825 for 2 nights. They said we should take it up with Expedia but it just soured me to using Expedia in the future.
